We are expecting to shortly be able to offer Covid-19 Booster / 3rd dose vaccines to our patients at the practice. When we are ready, we will aim to text you a link to book your appointment.
If you do not have a mobile phone, please keep checking our website for updates and then contact reception when the time is right.
Please contact our reception or check our website for updates on how to receive your flu vaccination at the practice!
We now have a Practice Pharmacy team who manage repeat prescription requests.
It is fastest if you request repeat prescriptions via the NHS App or Airmid app.
If this is not possible, then email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org
You might receive messages from the Practice Pharmacy team if they have queries about your request or if a review is now due.
What are parkruns?
parkruns are free, weekly, community events all around the world.
Saturday morning events are 5k and take place in parks and open spaces. On Sunday mornings, there are 2k junior parkruns for children aged four to 14.
parkrun is a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along, whether you walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate.
There are so many reasons to take part! You can learn new skills and enhance your health and happiness in the great outdoors whilst making new friends, feeling part of your local community and improving your fitness.
How do I take part?
Registration is completely free and only needs to be done once! Simply complete the registration form, print your barcode and head down to your local event.
Yeading Medical Centre is proud to be certified as a parkrun practice and the nearest parkrun is held at Northala Fields: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/northalafields/
We’d love to see you at the Northala Fields parkrun!
We have changed our email addresses. We are no longer using email@example.com
Use firstname.lastname@example.org for repeat prescriptions requests and email@example.com for admin queries.
If you would like to ask the surgery a non-urgent, general question or seek advice, you can do so by submitted an eConsult (online consultation) using the main blue banner on this practice website or this link: https://yeadingmedicalcentre.webgp.com/

People are being urged to keep an extra special eye on themselves and the people they care for over the winter period so minor illnesses don’t become more serious.
People who are older or have long term conditions may be particularly vulnerable to winter bugs which could become serious and require hospital treatment. Getting help earlier may prevent this from happening.
To make sure winter bugs don’t become more serious:
- Have your flu jab
- If you start to feel ill, get help from your pharmacy straight away
- Keep your home warm, at least 18 degrees
- Make sure you take any medicines as directed
- Get any repeat prescriptions filled in advance as many surgeries and pharmacies close over Christmas
- Keep a supply of cold and flu remedies in the house so you don’t need to go out if the weather is bad
- If you are prescribed antibiotics finish the course
- Don’t go to A&E or call 999 unless it’s an emergency. If you are in any doubt, NHS 111 can help you get the right treatment
